On January 11th 2023, Xiamen Sanwu Interconnection Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "35.COM"), a listed company on the growth enterprise board, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 5GW high-efficiency heterojunction solar cell project in the Economic Development Zone of Danling County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. This is the phase 1 photovoltaic new energy project of 35.COM.

Mr. Sun Jian, Vice Executive Mayor of Meishan City, Mr.Guo Hong, Secretary of the Danling County Party Committee, Mr. Zeng Jianjun, Governor of Danling County, Mr. Yan Aimin, Acting Dean of the Yangtze River Business School, Mr.He Zhenggang, Chairman of the Hebang Group, Mr.Song De'an, Chairman of the Desheng Group, Mrs. Zhuo Yujiao, President of Tongwei Group, Mr.Tang Guangyue, Chairman of Sichuan giastar Group, Mr.Huang Mingliang, Chairman of 35.COM, Mr. Wang Jun, Chairman of Sichuan Yingjie Electric Co., Ltd Mr.Xu Xiang, President of Daquan Energy Group Co., Ltd., Mr.Zhou Dan, CEO of Huasun New Energy, Mr.Yang Yusheng, General Manager of Fujian Jinshi Energy Co., Ltd., as well as the other government leaders and other representatives of outstanding entrepreneurs in the photovoltaic industry attended the ceremony. Mr.Zou Rulin, vice mayor of Meishan city, hosted the groundbreaking ceremony.

With the support of major national and provincial strategies such as the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing double-city economic circle and the development of Chengdu-Deyang -Meishan-Ziyang integrative development, the Meishan Municipal Party Committee and the Meishan Municipal Government have firmly established the first strategy of manufacturing strong a city, taking new energy and new materials as the leading industry of the city's development, focusing on the cultivation of lithium battery, crystalline silicon photovoltaic, and green chemical industry. To this end, the city has introduced a large number of high-quality head enterprises, such as Tongwei Solar, and the industrial chain has been gradually improved, and the industrial base has become more solid. According to the deployment of the second plenary session of the 12th Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, Meishan is positioned as "building a new energy and new material manufacturing base in Chengdu-Chongqing region".

It is reported that the 5G smart factory project of high-efficiency solar photovoltaic heterojunction cell (HJT structure) has a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan and covers an area of 204 mu. Among them, the investment in the construction of the 2GW production line of the project is 1 billion yuan, which is expected to be completed and put into operation by December 2023, and the overall construction of the 5GW production line of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation by December 2024. The relevant financial pre-evaluation results show that after the project is completed and put into operation, the annual sales revenue of high-efficiency crystalline silicon HJT solar cell products produced will be about 6.19 billion yuan, and the annual after-tax profit will be about 537 million yuan.

The project will adopt the industry's most advanced third-generation N-type HJT solar technology. Relevant data show that the maximum conversion efficiency of HJT has exceeded 26.5% at present, and is expected to exceed 28% in the future, which is higher than 24.5% of the PERC solar cells. The efficiency advantage is obvious.

According to the statistics of China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), in 2021, the market share of PERC (P-type battery technology) cells was about 91%, and the total share of heterojunction HJT (N-type battery technology) and TOPcon (N-type battery technology) was less than 3%, indicating that the industry concentration of HJT cells was still low. It is expected that by 2025, the total proportion of N-type technologies represented by heterojunction and TOPcon will be close to 40%, and it is expected to exceed 75% by 2030.
